Covid 19 has given all of us a forced reason to put a pause in our lives and asses the importance of family, being healthy, spending time with loved ones, maybe pick up a hobby or learn a new skill.
There are enough and more reasons to be apprehensive or tense about the situation but enough reasons to count our blessings too.
I am listing 10 most important things to do, follow and implement in your daily life to survive this pandemic and be prepared to ride this wave:
1. Love them, hate them, it don't matter, the mask and gloves are more important to you then the cell phone, do not leave home without it

2. Morning habits need to be either tweaked, changed or started right away and it should include three things only -
a) Kapal Bharti working up to 5 minutes everyday, can start with 2 minutes and get it up to 5 minutes. It will increase your lung capacity to the maximum and will help in case of a Covid infection or any cold or cough. It is a great breathing exercise

Make sure to get 10 minutes of sunlight, we forget the importance of the almighty Sun but it is so essential to our being. Just step out into the balcony, garden or the street for a few minutes and get some rays, it will brighten up your day, I guarantee it.

4. Discipline your life, yeah I get it, binge watching Netflix or prime is fun and when do we get times like these but unstructured life brings depression and hopelessness. Keep one day for binge watching, eating or playing board games, whatever rocks your boat.
5. Simple pleasures are not just necessary, they are required. Give yourself a pedicure, massage your partners feet or body, cook dishes you never had time for. Bake to your hearts content. Try different hair masks or face masks with natural products in the house.
6. If you have kids, give them space and do allow them screen time. Their play time is gone, friends are missing, school, eating out, sports & hanging out with friends, all gone. They are suffering and to top it off, us the nagging parents are on their head 24/7. Involve them in housework, in cooking and have some fun times with them, maybe play a little ball with them.
7. Washing everything that comes in the house, this is very important. Veggies, milk packets, any other plastic bags, deliveries etc. all need to be washed. The easiest way is to have a bowl of warm water and one teaspoon of baking soda and wash all stuff including veggies and put them under a fan to dry. This is not a guideline, its a must.
8. Necessary to have some humor and fun in life, laugh a little. Do online parties with your friends, have a drink (if you have some left). Have fun with your kids, parents and if possible wife/husband. Jeez for god's sake, have sex. It ain't the end of the world, no need for doom and gloom.
